Region 1 ODP U17 Girls attended the 43rd International Women’s Tournament of Menton in the South of France this April. After drawing 1-1 to Belarus team FC Bobruichanka in the opening match and winning three straight matches against Mayotte (France), Etoile de Menton (local host team) and Dinamo Zagreb, the girls lost in the finale on penaltys in a rematch against the Belarus team. Myra Konte (Northern Virginia Soccer Club) was elected Best Player of the tournament.
