Region 1 ODP 1994 Boys returned from their Easter Italy trip where they participated in the prestigious tournament “Memorial Manlio e Lloris Scopino”. The boys beat L’Aquila Calcio in the televised opening match and SS Lazio in the semis allowing them to reach the Finale against giants AS Roma.

The Regional Selection knew their trip would be marked by challenging competition before departing to Italy. The boys were definitely up to it; they qualified for the Finale and received awards for Best Scorer (Darius Madison) and Best Goalkeeper (Jason Scolaro). The team had three days in Rome to prepare for the tournament which took place in Rieti, a city located one hour North of Rome. The first day of stay was highlighted by the attendance of Serie A match AS Roma-Palermo. The next morning, the boys headed for Rome where excursions to Italy’s Capital and Vatican City’s main attractions were visited throughout the day.
